It’s hard to explain how it happens, but maybe I’m not alone. I’ll be searching for a specific photo for a request, and before I know it, I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole—sifting through old images, each a connection to another.
Yesterday’s wicked blizzard, combined with a flurry of requests, sent me deep into the “vault,” where I rediscovered some old favorites. It felt like uncovering a time capsule, and rather than let them sit unseen, I thought I’d share a few with you today.
Hopefully, you’re staying warm as we push through these last weeks of winter (fingers crossed). And if you’re enjoying the blog, I’d love to hear from you! Drop me a note, or let me know if you’d like to see something here. As always, I appreciate you reading.

Joe, I could spend hours going down the treasure of images you’ve captured! Publish a book with your top 50. The cemetery image - wow! Always my favorite are Iowa animals and farm scenes. Wait, I also live the moon shots!
Joe! You know I’m no stranger to a rabbit hole. Continuing the wildlife theme, I’m so easily distracted by ALL OF THE THINGS that I frequently say “oops, saw a squirrel.”
Great pics, great post, as always. Glad you beat the storm home. Always a pleasure to see you, friend.
