From puckerbrush grow mighty forests – in a nutshell (or acorn), that’s my heritage and where I’m from. Before 1855 my hometown in Iowa was called Puckerbrush. When the city was founded, Puckerbrush was changed to Forest City (I’m guessing the trees decided to take a stand and form a forest). Forest City is a small town in Iowa born from pioneers pushing west in search of a better place to live. I’ve always been a wanderer in my heart and soul, and I’ve been fortunate to explore many areas worldwide.

As a photographer and writer, I’ve been plugged into the communications world for 20+ years. I’ve met many people who grow your food here in the U.S. and abroad during that time. I’ll be sharing stories and photos of the people I’ve met along the way and the places that shape them. I’ll also invite guests to share their stories, curate fascinating links, highlight great work, and hopefully inspire you to explore and learn…
